Erik Wallin, candidate for Attorney General, was invited to the South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce to be interviewed by the South County Independent, Narragansett Times and the Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Wallin spoke at the Manville Sportsmens Rod & Gun Club yesterday morning. I also received this email this morning. If you compare Peter Kilmartin's qualifications for the AG's job to Mr. Wallin's, there is no contest in my opinion. Kilmartin has been a lawyer only a couple of years. He's a retired police officer from Pawtucket and has been in the leadership of the House of Representatives for the past god-knows-how-many-years.......in other words he is part of the problem However, when you take into consideration where we are living, Wallin has his work cut out for himself. Wallin has an impressive resume/background and we really need to get out and support him big-time.

All very, very well said. Of course, Kilmartin has a primary battle.

I heard Steve (?) Archambeault on DiPetro yesterday morning for a couple of minutes. Anyone know anything about him? He didn't sound like a wing-nut....where does he come down on 2nd Amendment? Nothing mentioned or asked in the interview.....

I know him very, very well. Extremely well even. His position on the 2nd Amendment will depend upon who he is talking to at any instant in time.

His background is that he was briefly (for a few years) a police officer in Jamestown. He attended law school part time and the stated reason he left is because he got his law degree, but there are stories that his seperation was not a good situation for him. I was told that he has a DUI from when he was in college, or shortly after. A few years ago he ran for Town Council in Smithfield and is on that Council now. During his time on the Council he has demonstrated his arrogance, often publically berating other, more experienced, members of the Council. During the Tocco recall, he refused to take a stand against Tocco (a fellow Democrat), who admitted to spending two years bribing public officials. The town voted to recall Tocco from office 4 to 1.

He is in a huge dispute over money, a lot of money, with two of his siblings who have been very clear that they think he is a lazy crook. They have paperwork that backs their claim. There is evidence that he also assisted his sister (the one he is not in dispute with) in covering up that her kids attended Smithfield public schools even though they live in Lincoln.

He is heavily, heavily political. Very much a Democrat party person, he will always toe the party line, unless he senses that he can personally benefit by breaking ranks. When that happens, he will put a knife in the back of anyone he even thinks is in his way. he is not beyond making physical threats against others, and then bragging about having made those threats later.

He has big ambition. He talks about being Governor, and then President. I am also told by reputable sources that he has a history of mental illness, including a belief that he is a reincarnated indian who died at the Battle of little Big Horn. He actually went out there to visit the tribe. He has other even more, lets just say unusual, beliefs.

Given who he is up against int eh Dem primary for AG, I doubt he has a ghost of a chance. Even if he were the strongest supporter of 2A (which i don't believe he is at all) I believe he would be a disaster for RI.

Jeeezzz.......where do these people come from? So....he may fall into that "wingnut" category after all, huh? Well, his primary opponent has already proven he too is a disaster for Rhode island....in the leadership of the General Assembly. So I should disaffiliate....vote for the first wingnut who has less of a chance of beating Wallin in the general election, then scoot back over where I belong and vote against the second wingnut who has more of a chance of screwing up the State more than he and his buddies already have. Sounds like a plan. Wallin said alot of good things at Manville last Sunday. I hope we can get him in....we need some "right-direction-change"...for a change.
